Now an MS Computer Science student at UT Dallas, still sending patches to other people’s repositories most weeks.

  • Built sign-in on AWS Cognito and Amplify Gen 2, covering OAuth across several identity providers and email with one-time codes, and wrote the integration docs the backend engineer worked from.
  • Owned cloud infrastructure (Lambda, S3, CloudFront, Redis) and authored the GitHub Actions estate, from CodeQL and Gitleaks to SonarCloud gates and Playwright E2E, across three codebases in a Turborepo/pnpm monorepo.
  • Ran customer discovery interviews; hired and onboarded the second engineer, and wrote the specs they built against.

Integrating YOLOv5 and CNN for Number Plate Recognition in Automated Parking Systems

  • YOLOv5 detector at 95.45% mAP, 88.7% precision, 96.4% recall, over 100 epochs on a 433-image custom dataset.
  • Custom CNN over 36 character classes at 89.66% accuracy, over 80 epochs on a 6,659-image dataset.
  • OpenCV preprocessing: cropping, grayscale, Hough-transform deskew, contour-based character segmentation.
  • Trained locally on an Nvidia RTX 2060 (6GB): 100 epochs in 0.849 hours.
